Google Nexus 7 Tablet 終於在昨晚零晨正式登場，而 Asus 為 Google Nexus 7 的代工製造商也正式揭盅，不過其規格及外觀早已在之前已經流出，未能給予用家新的驚喜。
Google Nexus 7 的規格Google Nexus 7 Tablet 採用黑色的機身，未有看見早前流出帶有圓點紋的機背，取而代之的是黑色的光滑機背，設計極為簡約。由於 Google Nexus 7 採用 7 吋屏幕，重量僅有 340 克，自然比有 9.7 吋屏幕定的 iPad，約有六百多克的為輕巧。Google Nexus 7 Tablet 的規格方面，採用 1.3GHz 4 核 Terga 3 CPU、7 吋 1280 x 720 解像度屏幕、1GB RAM、4325 mAh 電池，支援 NFC 及最新的 Android 4.1 等，不過只設置前置鏡頭作視像通話的 Google Nexus 7，在規格上可能要稍稍扣分。
Google Nexus 7 配合 Android 4.1 推出 Google Nexus 7 Tablet 運行的 Android 4.1 代號為 Jelly Bean，只可說是 Andorid 4.0 的小更新，新增的功能不算太多，包括像 Apple Siri 的人工智能語音問答功能 Google Now；離線語音輸入，暫時只限英語；優化 Android Beam 功能如可傳送短片，有點類似 Samsung 的 S Beam 等。由於 Android 4.1 開發名為 Project Butter 的三重緩衝顯示技術，令屏幕的幀速率可達 60 fps，使操作更加流暢。
香港用家暫時不能購買，用家還需等等Google Nexus 7 Tablet 以像 itune Store 全新的 Google Play 作掛帥，加上如加入全新新版本 YouTube 影片、離線 Google 地圖、運行 Andorid 4.1 等，以超值價 199 起美元入手的確超值，不過暫時只限英國、美國、加拿大及澳洲發售，香港用家如想在 Google Play 購買，可能還需等等。但估計 Nexus 7 及 Android 4.1 的功能，在今後的手機中也能實現，不喜用 Tablet 的用家也可以忍手，等待手機作 Android 4.1 的升級。而 Google 的 Nexus 手機及 Motorola Xoom Tablet 已有升級的時間表，在七月中已可陸續從 OTA 作出升級，由於港版的 Nexus S 及 Galaxy Nexus 由 Samsung 負責，香港的用家可能還要等待 Samsung 方面的公佈。
